Painters Choice will be on your side.We have intervened on more than one occasion and the results have been great for the home owner. We won't put down other contractors as things can happen on any job even with the best of contractors. In most of these cases the cause of a problem is one employee who isn't performing as they should, and ends up being fired; or a sub contractor who has been asked to vacate the project, due to customer complaints and inadequate or substandard work. But sometimes... well these guys just don't know when to just fix it and take a loss, for the sake of good customer relations. There is always a solution if a contractor puts the customers needs ahead of their own. Customers are not always right, but they are always the one footing the costs of a job, so their opinions must be considered in all things. If they are mistaken we as contractors must explain why they are mistaken and how we can better accommodate their concerns, rather than just dismiss them as being petty or stupid. I have found most customers are neither petty nor stupid and respond quite well, when realizing their are more ways than they first perceived, to accomplishing the same end.
Other times the contractors are just shady at best and nothing will help with that, except firing them and getting someone else to re-do what they have done or at if you are lucky, just finish the job for you.
